Our Free range Christmas Chickens, known sometimes as Capons, are deliciously moist and succulent, and great for feeding large parties at Chtistmas as a perfect alternative to Turkey.
They are slow-grown to maturity, allowing the concentrated flavour to enhance and taste just like chicken should taste.
Our Free Range Chickens have no food-miles, having been produced here on the Farm, and also slaughtered, dry-plucked and prepared by our butchers, so they are fully traceable. Our customers tell us the taste has depth and flavour, due in part to their maturity, and that they are hung and dry-plucked, rather than wet-plucked where water is added.
They are fed on a natural cereal-based diet with no artificial additives or growth stimulents.
